Should you decide to visit our hotel in the beautiful Allgäu, you will be treading on historic ground, for “d’r Löwirt” (as it’s called in our dialect) was constructed as early as 1520 and was the first and oldest inn on the “Joch”. Nowadays the old inn is a spacious alpine guesthouse with lots of comfort and homeliness.
Nonetheless, our family, which has been running the Löwen for five generations (since 1897), greatly values a harmonious interplay of a rustic and cosy atmosphere with the necessary modern amenities required for a restful holiday.
“Breathe deeply” is not just the right phrase for our Löwen thermal bath, in which you can find the perfect environment to let your soul unwind – equipped with a sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin. Those with allergies can also breathe deeply with us, for, at 1,200 metres altitude, the charming mountain village of Oberjoch is the perfect environment for those who struggle with pollen, fine dust or dust mites. Our good air and altitude promises a reduction of your symptoms after just a few days stay.
We could go on forever about all the things you can do in our area: hiking, mountaineering, climbing, cycling and in winter, of course, skiing, cross-country skiing or sledging. But why don’t you take a look for yourself over the following pages!
Perhaps we will see you soon on your visit to us at the “Löwen”!
We look forward to it!
